Our 5-day Tanzania safari you will experience the excitement of game viewing in some of the most spectacular national wildlife game parks in Tanzania.

This unforgettable Tanzanian safari journey will take you to the Ngorongoro Crater, featuring one of the highest concentrations of game in Africa. Here you will witness an amazing spectacle of African wildlife – inside a self-contained world teeming with animals. The tour will further take you to the Serengeti National Park, into the heart of wild Africa, a massive wilderness of 14,763 square km, where everyday brings a new landscape and a new adventure. You will visit Tarangire or the Lake Manyara National Park, one of Tanzania’s most dramatically located wildlife areas, consisting of a shallow but huge soda lake, at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment.

This is a suggested or sample Tanzanian safari itinerary – it can be adapted to suite your own personal needs and preferences, as well as for any seasonal changes or migratory animal movements.  As with all our African safaris, tours,  and trekking packages, we have offered you a wide variety of accommodation options – directly impacting on the total safari costs – in order to offer you the widest possible tour budget options. Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti

DAY 1

After early breakfast, you’ll be picked up from your place of accommodation in Arusha ready to leave for Tarangire NP.

  • Distance: About 120km from Arusha (approximately 2 hrs drive),
  • Activities: Transfer and Game/wildlife viewing drives,
  • Highlights: Big herds of elephants, wildebeest, zebras. Also, huge trees (the baobabs), lions, giraffes, cheetah, water bucks, and a variety of bird species.
  • Accommodation: Sleeping in a camping tent at a public campsite – could be inside or outside the park depending on the preference of the group will be available.
  • Meal Plan: Full Board (FB).

DAY 2 

Leave your campsite after early breakfast for Serengeti via Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As you reach Ngorongoro Conservation gate, you’ll stop a while there for formalities and then check in to proceed to Serengeti.

  • Distance: About 287km to Seronera area (the middle of the Serengeti)
  • Activities: Transfer and Game/wildlife viewing drives en-route,
  • Highlights: Elephants, wildebeest, zebras, lions, graffes, cheetahs, leopards, jackals, hippos, water bucks, warthogs, topis, hartebeest, gazelles and a variety of bird species.
  • Accommodation: Sleeping in a camping tent at one of Seronera Public Campsites.
  • Meal Plan: Full Board (FB).

DAY 3 

You’ll spend a full day in the Serengeti – proceeding with exploration of this beautiful park.

  • Activities: Full day Game/wildlife viewing drives,
  • Highlights: Elephants, wildebeest, zebras, lions, giraffes, cheetahs, leopards, jackals, hippos, water bucks, warthogs, topi, hartebeest, gazelles and a variety of bird species. In addition, the endless plains (stretched land) are of the highlights among the rest.
  • Accommodation: Sleeping in a camping tent at one of Seronera Public Campsites.
  • Meal Plan: Full Board (FB).

DAY 4

Morning game drives in the Serengeti till early afternoon, the time when you will now head to the Naabi Hill gate for exiting the Serengeti. From here, you’ll now enter again Ngorongoro Conservation Area and proceed to the Simba Public campsite for dinner and overnight.

  • Distance: Approximately 150km to Simba Campsite from Seronera.
  • Activities: Transfer and Game/wildlife viewing drives en-route
  • Highlights: Elephants, wildebeest, zebras, lions, giraffes, cheetahs, leopards, jackals, hippos, water bucks, warthogs, topis, hartebeest, gazelles and a variety of bird species
  • Accommodation: Sleeping in a camping tent at the Simba public campsite.
  • Meal Plan: Full Board (FB).

DAY 5

You’ll have your early morning breakfast, then depart the camp with drive to Seneto – the entry gate down into the crater. You expect to enjoy the game drives in the crater for approximately 6 hours, including the time to stop for a picnic lunch beside the small lake, Engotokitok. Soon after breakfast, you will start ascending the crater and proceed to exit gate of the conservation. From here, you’ll take a ride on a tarmac road back to Arusha.

  • Distance: Approximately 187km to Arusha from the crater floor.
  • Activities: Transfers and Game/wildlife viewing drives,
  • Highlights: Wildebeest, zebras, rhinos, elephants, lions, golden jackals, hippos, water bucks, warthogs, buffaloes hartebeest, gazelles and a variety of bird species.
  • Accommodation: Sleeping in a lodge/hotel.
  • Meal Plan: Full Board (BB).
