Detailed Itinerary for 4 Days Serengeti camping safari
Arrival Day
You will be Picked up from the Airport to the lodge, then meet your Safari-guide for a briefing.
Day 1: Pick up From Hotel/Lodge in Arusha to Serengeti
After breakfast, picked up from your hotel at 07:30 am then drive to Serengeti National Park. On arrival in the afternoon, you will have a game drive for the rest of a day. The park covers 14,763 square kilometers of open plains making it one of the largest in the world. There are rocky outcrops known as Moru kopjes in the eastern part of the park that are of scenic beauty. And, occasionally cats can be seen lazing on them. The park contains vast herds of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and other antelopes. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti camp.
Day 2: Serengeti Full Day Game Drive
The whole day will be spent in this amazing world-known destination. After breakfast proceeds for a game drive along the Sugar River Circuit, which loops into the plains south of the Seronera River. This is a good area for possible Lion, Thomson gazelle, topi, ostrich, and cheetah sightings. In the afternoon we will follow the Kopjes Circuit, which goes anti-clockwise around the Maasai Kopjes. They usually attract many lions and some large cobras. Kopjes are weathered granite outcrops, scattered around the plains. Most of which are miniature ecosystems, providing shade and drinking water in pools left in the rock after the rains. This makes the Kopjes particularly good for spotting wildlife in the dry seasons – including lions, which like to lie in wait for animals coming to drink!
Dinner and overnight at one of the Seronera Public Campsites.
Day 3: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
Early morning game drives as early as 0600am-0930am. This morning game drive offers you the best chance to capture early morning kills from the Big Five. After exploring the park this early morning, you’ll return for the main breakfast. And, after breakfast departs to the Ngorongoro Conservation area. Thereafter proceed to Ngorongoro arriving late afternoon where you will spend the next few hours on the rim of the crater. Dinner and overnight in the Seronera area, at one of the Seronera Public Campsites.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
After breakfast descends over 600 meters into the crater for a half day’s game viewing tour. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Crater supports a vast variety of animals. The supported animals are herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, giant African elephants, and others. Another big drawcard to this lovely park is its dense population of predators. These include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. Also, we will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, that is rich in birdlife.
You’ll have a picnic lunch beside a small lake with hippos in the crater. Soon after lunch, your driver-guide will now drive you back into Arusha for diner and overnight.
This will be the end of your 4 days safari trip with us.
