About us, Zorilla Safaris And Treks was founded by Stanley Mbogo. As a locally owned and operated concern, visitors can take advantage of the wealth of knowledge of the team available. With the team, the visitors will share the cultures, mountains, and the country’s vast game viewing areas.

The Founder of  Zorilla Safaris And Treks

Stanley B. Mbogo, the Founder and Managing Director. As soon as he completed his courses of Mountain and Safari guide, he started working in 1996. Over 13 years in the positions of guide for mountain trekking, and wildlife safaris. In 2008, he studied birds and started guiding for bird-watching trips as well from 2009 up today. Later after attained a long experience from the Arusha-based western tour companies he decided to become a tour operator. 

The Co-team Zorilla Safaris And Treks

Wilson Bupamba is a knowledgeable and kind guide. He guides for both safari and mountain trekking trips. He studied guiding both for safari and trekking and has been guiding for seven years now. 

Hesbon Gohoti is a professional and long-experienced head guide. He guides for mountain trekking trips. He serves in the post of porter for 5 years and later attended the guide training to become an assistant guide. Then, 4 years later he became a head guide till now. He is polite, attentive, and knows well the roles of his job.

Best Mkaka is one of the best assistant guides for mountain treks. He worked as a porter and tent crew attendant for some years before getting into his current position. 

Masanja Ikungura is an outstanding cook. He cooks for wildlife camping safaris and mountain trekking trips as well. He has been in this field for several years. So, he knows and fulfills well his duties. 

All the team members served in the posts of porters, assistants for many years before reached where they are to date! 

Safari cars and Gear

Our safari cars are Toyota Land Cruisers with pop-up roofs that allow easy wildlife viewing and photography! They are-fitted with bucket seats with armrests, two-way long-range frequency radios for communications. Also, they have inverters with power sockets for charging the mobile phones, and camera batteries. Besides, they have mini-fridges or cool boxes for cooling drinks, First-aid kits, and fire extinguishers. More useful items are animal and bird books, and at least one powerful pair of binocular – Swarovski or Leica, etc.

 

The Trekking Gear

Camping and dining tents, 3-inch mattresses, pillows, sleeping bags tables, chairs, cylinders for oxygen supplementary, First-aid-kit, and others.
