About us, Zorilla Safaris And Treks was jointly founded by Stanley Mbogo and Hesbon Gohoti. As a locally owned and operated concern, visitors can take advantage of the wealth of knowledge of the team available. With the team, the visitors will share the cultures, mountains, and the country’s vast game viewing areas.
Zorilla Safaris And Treks Staff
Wilson Bupamba is a professional guide holding certificate of wildlife knowledge from Mweka African Wildlife Management College. He is guiding for safari guiding for 7 years now.
Kizindaro Mkaka is a professional and long-experienced head guide. He guides for mountain trekking trips. He served in the post of porter for 2 years and later attended the guide training to become an assistant guide. Then, 2 years later he became a head guide until now. As well he is polite, attentive, and knows well the roles of his job.
Best Mkaka is one of the best guides for mountain treks. He worked as a porter and tent crew attendant for some years before getting into his current position.
Masanja Ikungura is an outstanding cook. He cooks for wildlife camping safaris and mountain trekking trips as well. He has been in this field for several years. So, he knows and fulfills well his duties.
Safari cars and gear
Our safari cars are Toyota Land Cruisers with pop-up roofs that allow easy wildlife viewing and photography! They are-fitted with bucket seats with armrests, two-way long-range frequency radios for communications. Also, they have inverters with power sockets for charging the mobile phones, and camera batteries. Besides, they have mini-fridges or cool boxes for cooling drinks, First-aid kits, and fire extinguishers. More useful items are animal and bird books, and at least one powerful pair of binocular – Swarovski or Leica, etc.
The Founders of Zorilla Safaris And Treks
Stanley B. Mbogo, the co-Founder and Managing Director. As soon as he completed his courses of Mountain and Safari guide, he started working in 1996. Over 11 years he guided for mountain trekking, and wildlife safaris. Then in 2008, he studied birds and started guiding both for mammals and bird-watching safaris from 2009 up today. Later after attaining a long experience from the western tour companies he jointly become a tour operator.
Hesbon Gohoti, the co-Founder and Managing Director, is a professional and long-experienced head guide. He attended the guide training at Mweka African Wildlife Management College. Then, he became a guide and has been guiding for mountain for 16 year now. He is knowledgeable, polite, attentive, and knows well the roles of his job.
